Terms of Service

Last updated: November 2024

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Accountally's website and bookkeeping services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Services

Accountally provides bookkeeping, accounting, and vendor optimization services to small and mid sized businesses. Specific service terms, deliverables, and pricing are outlined in a separate service agreement signed by both parties.

Client responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and timely financial information and documentation
  • Grant necessary access to accounting software, bank feeds, and vendor accounts
  • Review and approve financial statements within reasonable timeframes
  • Pay invoices according to the agreed billing terms

Fees and payment

Monthly fees are billed in advance for the upcoming month's services. Onboarding and cleanup fees are billed at the start of an engagement. Payment is due within 15 days of invoice. Late payments may incur a 1.5% monthly finance charge.

Vendor optimization

When we reshop vendor categories on your behalf through our partner network, we may receive a commission or perpetual revenue share from the partner. This does not affect your pricing with the partner and is disclosed to you before any vendor change is initiated.

Confidentiality

We treat all client financial information as confidential. We will not disclose your information to third parties except as necessary to provide our services, with your authorization, or as required by law.

Termination

Either party may terminate the engagement with 30 days' written notice. Upon termination, we will deliver all client books and records and pro rate any prepaid fees.

Limitation of liability

Accountally's total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fees paid by the client during the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Charleston, SC.
